Grapeseed

Grape seeds contain molecules called Oligo-ProanthoCyanidines ( OPC ). OPCs are powerful antioxidants belonging to the flavonoid family . They behave like free radical sensors (very unstable molecules). The antioxidant effect of OPCs is greater than that of vitamins C and E!

Thanks to its remarkable antioxidant activity, grape seed extract has multiple beneficial effects on health. These are revealed on the condition of the skin , blood vessels, but also on vision .

Active in water-soluble and lipid-soluble environments, OPCs will act throughout the body, including in the brain. Indeed, they are capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, a physiological barrier between the blood circulation and the central nervous system.

At the skin level, grape seed extract helps strengthen the structure of the skin by acting on the stability of collagen and elastin, two proteins which play an essential role in the quality of the connective tissue of the dermis.

Grape seed extract also has a protective action on the walls of blood vessels .

We use grape seed extract in B-Cell for their richness in OPC to help protect cells as a whole (cytoplasm, plasma membrane) from free radical attack.
