It's Detox time!

It is true that we often hear about detox cures, whether in magazines, from influencers, or even from our friends who praise the benefits of this practice. So info or misinformation?

Why do a detox?

A detox treatment can help you regain intestinal balance, regain beautiful skin and be in great shape. This method has been practiced for millennia and aims to purify and relieve the body.

We accumulate a quantity of toxins, determined by our daily behavior. This can be due to a diet that is too rich, too fatty, too sweet or even to a poor lifestyle such as tobacco, pollution, medications. The toxins this generates can be difficult to eliminate. … It can happen that the body reaches saturation, this can lead to weight gain, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, bad breath, duller skin and imperfections…

Doing a detox treatment 1 to 4 times a year, at each change of season for example, can help your body detoxify and thus regain a certain balance.

The objective is to activate the drainage of the emunctory organs, responsible for evacuating our waste: the liver, at the center of detoxification, the intestines, the kidneys, the lungs, the skin.

For a top detox, 2 choices are available to you: detoxify throughout the year or follow a detox 1 to 4 times a year.

Follow a detox cure

Choose the right time: start your treatment ideally at the beginning of spring, summer or autumn. In winter, you can follow a short detox for a day, a weekend or over three days at most.

Review the contents of your plates. On the program: vegetable and fruit juices, vegetable broths, soups and a vegetarian diet rich in plants. We therefore avoid meat, whether red or white, as well as cold meats. Refined sugars and animal fats (butter, cream, etc.) are banned. Prepared meals, tobacco, alcohol and coffee should be avoided. In some detox diets we even avoid gluten and lactose.

Hydrate yourself well, starting in the morning on an empty stomach: opt for water with lemon, green tea and detox juices of all kinds, as long as you choose fresh vegetables and fruits, and if possible organic .

In general, a detox treatment lasts between 1 and 2 days.

Please note: beyond this period, it is recommended to be accompanied by a nutritionist or naturopath. Indeed, too much and too long a detox can cause an imbalance and damage your digestive system.

SPRING DETOX: THE MOST IMPORTANT!

The arrival of spring marks the start of a cycle of renewal. This time of year coincides with a recirculation of energies. It's time for big spring cleaning, for our bodies too!

Spring is the season par excellence during which the blood regenerates quickly. The detox cure will purify the blood, relieve the liver and tone digestion.

PREFERRED VEGETABLES AND FRUITS:

Spring cure vegetables: asparagus, new carrots, artichokes, eggplant, chard, broccoli, celery stalks, cauliflower, zucchini, broad beans, green beans, radishes, fresh salads…

Eat plenty of: dandelion, spinach, chicory, white dead nettle shoots, artichoke, fresh peas, black radish, and make herbal soups to drain your liver and soothe your digestion.

The fruits of the spring cure: green apples and all red fruits, including cherries, strawberries, raspberries... in their season!

At the end of the 3 weeks of treatment, you will have rid your body of overloads and toxins accumulated throughout the winter. You should therefore be less sensitive to respiratory, digestive and intestinal inflammations, and allergies.
